Michael Jackson was a wonderful
performer from a small child on
but his personal life was a shambles and what he did to himself physically was terrible. Yes, remember him as
one of the more memorable artists but he doesn't deserve
adoration for anything else. I know what the reaction to my
comments will be but face the facts and admire the great
talent he had but nothing else.

He had talent, and that's all we should care about. All that other stuff was his personal business.

There most definitely won't be another like him. But I am glad a lot of the conversation has shifted back to the music and not his personal life.

Genius or not, great albums or not, the "man" (and I use that term VERY loosely) was pure evil and deserves no positive accolades. I'm sure he's rotting in hell right now. All those poor "special friends" of his are so mentally scarred by the actions of this terrible "icon." Not to mention his poor kids whose lives he ruined. I feel so sorry for all the lives MJ destroyed. What a scumbag.

@Tom there are many people who feel the way that you feel. But the fact is (and this is a fact), there's no evidence to suggest that those kid's lives were destroyed. They were paid millions of dollars. Some of that stuff that allegedly went on was almost 20 years ago now. Where are they? What I mean is, not one of them has ever stepped forward after becoming and adult to lead a further campaign against his character. Maybe this would've sold me more; the persistence of an accuser. The one time this happened, the last time it happened, their credibility was slaughtered in a court of law. Yeah we all know OJ did it too, but in Michael's case the actual, presented evidence was far more in favour of his defence. But maybe you're right. Without proof though, without a conviction, with his personal psychosis, I mean there's not much I can condem him on. Kobe probably did it too. He's still arguably the best player in the NBA. I said arguably...
