Ok I would have to agree with most of this list, except about them investing. I think it's smart for them to invest and act like businessmen with their money. They can't rap forever and to take the money and make it grow is wise. Can't hate them for that.

Many things in this article are based on stereotypes about rap music, so I won't even bother addressing those. and as far as Rappers investing-- what's so wrong with that? They realize that they might not be populr forever, and they want to secure their money. How is that annoying? It might be annoying to you because THEY'RE getting guap and you're not.
and as far as rapping about being in the streets and in prison-- you write what you know. Emo artists write whiny songs about girls that broke up with them. It's them sharing an experience. For a black guy from brooklyn, your criticisms of rappers sound more like they came from an ignorant hillbilly conservative from Tenessee. Sad.

What about the mouth jewelry? I'm sorry but I find it digusting. The face and neck tats are gross too. How about the fact that most rappers are not good looking or sexy but because a bunch of video girls and strippers sleep with them they think they're all so hot? It's the money, sadly money and fame make almost anyone seem attractive these days even if you look like Lil' Wayne and Flavor Flav.

Fairly accurate but of course there are many exceptions.
I personally think Snoop Dog has done some decent acting roles as has Ja Rule.
Taking shirts off is fine when a guy looks like LL, Tupac etc....many of those guys are in very good shape.
Not all do the idiotic amount of jewelry thing...thank God.
I also think investing and diversifying is great as is dressing the part of a businessman when branching into business.
I also don't agree with much rap degrading women the way it does, but that's just me.

Rappers that don't do any of what you just said include: Drake, Jair Dynast, K'naan, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Black Throught, Black Star, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Slaughterhouse, MOP, Eminem, Mickey Factz, The Cool Kids, Kid Sister, Dizzy Rascal, The Streets should I go on?

I agree with your statement , however maybe you should listen to hip hop outside the radio, if you did you will understand that there are alot of other hip hop acts that do not talk about alcohol, listen to rappers like koz, swollen members etc...we need to get these underground rappers more radio play, because it just has substance.

There are some people who only look in the negative side. Not all rappers are bad.The least of them are bad but the bad things are quickly recognised but when good things are done by the rappers they are ignored. Had someone ever puplicity paid a compliment to a rapper. If yes it is rare.They are always doing great things but dey are ignored.The main reason why they are blamed is because the criticisers don't like rap music.Don't judge everyone by the kind of music they are singing rather judge them by their characters.
