It's sad he had to send out a press release saying he's still alive.

Patrick is one of those kind of thespians, gentlemen and true artist that only comes around rarely--if ever. He does his job with honesty and heartfelt delivery. He seems like a good man, an ethical man, the kind of man that is antithetical to the asexual, afraid to be manly, hybrids you see in Hollywood these days. You never hear any negative news about Mr Swayze. There are no crime stories, no perverted tales of mischief, no abusive accusations, no drug binges--those are the fodder that makes up the dredges of our Hollywood media these days. Who is in rehab? Who had the latest cosmetic surgery? Who can be the most extreme? Tell you what, WHO CARES? Humility is a lesson that Patrick Swayze can teach a lot of these youngster wannabes--first lesson is GET OVER YOURSELF. You see these qualities and more in the careful selection that Mr Swayze demonstrates in his roles. He doesn't just jump at the first role because it might be radical or provocative. Please we have enough and have had enough of you prima donnas. Do your job, do it well. Take care of your self and others. Stay out of trouble. Then, please GO HOME. Watch some of Mr Swayze's films and you will see a running theme throughout and imbedded within the plot and the character(s)--transformation for the better, valuing life because the future is uncertain and the end is always near and helping those who cannot help themselves. Thank you Patrick for all that you do. Our hearts and our love is always with you.

RIP Patrick Swayze. Your legacy as an actor will be cherished forever. After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, the actor Patrick Swayze has passed away. He was 57 years of age. Patrick Swayze was diagnosed in 2008 with stage 4 cancer, and it metastasized to his liver. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive forms, with less than 5% of patients surviving 5 years, most succumbing within 6 months of diagnosis. Swayze leaves behind an intimidating body of work, including smashing successes in blockbuster films, hit TV shows, and even a few highly regarded indie appearances and stage work. He will certainly be sorely missed, and there will be many paycheck loans worth for tributes to Patrick Swayze.
