Hey, if the Housing Works thing hadn't worked out for you, I see Sears was a sponsor...I know some people in their employ. Would've been funny if she had said "...I'm just here for Sears" (although that is absolutely why Jaclyn Smith was there.)

Do these actors not expect media to be at these events? Wouldn't they want to speak with the media to get out their message for "the cause"? I'm sure the pretentiousness was just killing her.

I've always been a big fan of Parker Posey's acting -- particularly in Dazed & Confused, The House of Yes, and Christopher Guests' mockumentaries. I respect her effort to deflect the media's attention from her celebrity to the charity at centerstage..

I'm too jealous to comment! It should have been me! Just kidding! Kind of.
I like this style of writing better than a full on interview, anyway.
I also loved her in House of Yes and all of those other angsty 90's movies, and, of course, the Hal Hartley flicks.
