I think Yussuf Islam is an very old man who had made boring music longtime ago, even as Coldplay and Satriani made now. both songs, from Yussuf and Satriani have a little of Viva La Vida. But al are dull songs.

I am a writer by profession. A never ending battle; it's almost impossible these days to come up with an idea that has not been thought of or used before. Musicians must do thorough fact-checks before they stamp a song as their own. I just read a poem entitled "The Greatest" on MySpace. There was another one with a totally used-before title that I cannot recall off-hand (Oh yes, it was "Love Song"; now c'mon!). The writer was "down on his knees, begging his lady-love please." Now, how many times have we heard that refrain? One has to be very careful. Of course, it will be up to the courts to decide in this case. I adore the band Coldplay, but even the late great George Harrison was once found guilty of using another writer's ideas.

There are 12 notes in a chromatic scale thus 12 possible scales with eight notes in each scale. Don't you think that after two millennium of creating music their would be some repeats somewhere along the line?
