Start getting into nanotechnology forcast. There will be no need to destroy the earth for anything. Roads will be painted with solar paint that will provide for our energy. Of course, this is the long run. I hope you can win. Have they bought your late friend's property? Do you have arguments that you can bring to your government about what the ecological and environmental impact will be? How can you get public opinion in your favor for a public outcry for protecting the earth? What are the dangers to the miners? Maybe you need more laws to protect the environment? Best of luck
