of course the simpson's best days are behind anyone would admit that. The simpsons are still better than half the garbage that gets put on TV. the HD episodes have been very good. I think the show has earn the right to call it quits when they want.

daluckynumba6 pretty much just explained why the show is still on. we all still watch because we think that it will get better. it's called love.
fans's love of the simpsons is stronger than the love in most marriages. most married people would be out by now if this was their life

The Simpsons may not be as great as it once was - however,it is still waaaaaayyyyy better than all the "reality" show crap that is currently polluting tv. I did watch this past Sunday (like I do every Sunday) and the episode was pretty good.
