In the shadows (again) of The Big Three, I will tactfully suggest that the concept of restricting an Iconic List to one artist-one song is ludicrous.

Obviously, it would be an impossible way to vote for who enters the Hall of Fame. As a Beatles fan of years, I'm pretty single minded. I did, however sign an online petition for consideration of "The Monkees" for the Hall of Fame. I've heard that "The Almighty One" at Rolling Stone has declared them a manufactured group and therefore do not qualify for consideration. We had long road trip in a blizzard recently and without my husband knowing, I brought my Monkees cds to play. Turns out, he knew most of the songs, the hits, too many to mention here. If someone thinks a song can define a group and their influence on society and our lives, it would be likely that somebody might remember the Monkees, who with their album "Headquarters" were able to show and own their musical talent. It's too bad that media moguls really do decide these things in the end.

First off, the guy in the K.C. Star is a moron for even coming up with this crackhead idea; and second off, the "remaking" of this list is and even bigger FAIL than the original list in the first place.
