A Great list!
The fans of all of these artists should be scorned, mocked and ridiculed for their taste, or lack there of.

Neil Diamond: I grew up in the 80s and throughout the 80s & 90s it was very, very uncool to like Neil Diamond. Then that Jason Biggs movie came out and tried to make it okay. Nope, no way. I Still think he sucks.
Styx: Okay, not great. Tommy Shaw is an excellent musician, but Dennis DeYoung is a total douche and thinks he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
REO: Love REO. Cranked their hits album at a restaurant I worked at every morning before opening for like two years.
Hall & Oates: one of my first favorites growing up. Great musicians and songwriters.
Journey: first Journey album I had was Frontiers and loved it, then realized Infinity, Evolution & Esc4pe were all way better.
Cat Stevens: never liked him. There's a word I could use here about what I think of his music, but it wouldn't be appropriate. However, it sometimes comes before his first name.
Bee-Gees: Yeah, I can do Bee Gees. Best at a wedding or a club.
Bob Seger: okay, never was a big fan.
Billy Joel: Love Billy. Must be something about living on L.I. Sound and growing up with his music. All his albums are fantastic beginning to end. Excellent live.
Phil Collins: Loved him with Genesis more, but I love his solo stuff too. I remember when No Jacket Required came out. It was like Alanis Morissette's first album: everybody had it.

WOW Agent Smith! You REALLY MASTERED this! I can contribute:
Neil Diamond: I grew up in the 70s and developed an appreciation for some of these slow, mellow numbers. Think I like "I am, I Said," best because some of them sound similar.
Styx: GREAT. Still have a treasured LP. Has "Lady" on it.
REO: OK. "Keep on Lovin You" is good.
Hall & Oates: not so much
Journey: NO. My abusive ex hb LOVED them
Cat Stevens: Loved him for awhile. MISS his music.
Bee-Gees: Yeah, I love Bee Gees.Slow or fast. Good at a wedding; best at a club.
Bob Seger: I like him, Boz Scaggs AND Gerry Rafferty. I once won Boz Scagg tickets off the radio and took 3 people and sold some & took everyone to dinner afterward.
Billy Joel: EEssh. I really only like "All About Soul." I
idolized Christie Brinkley when I was a young teen modeling.
Phil Collins: Loved him with Genesis. Like "Father to Son" a LOT. I have none of his CDs.
TOTO: I LOVE them.I need to get some of their CDs.

Cat Stevens was a fine artist in the late 60's-70's. His songs have stood the test of time. I will always like the Piano Man Billy Joel. He is a genius. I have to admit I danced my socks off to the Bee Gees during their disco phase. Before that era they produced an album or two with some really nice ballads. Now, I have REALLY aged myself. :-) "Now I've got to get a message to you! Hold on, hold on!" Loved it. Love them.

cat stevens looks amazing [even better if you are not used to seeing him look like that] & some of this stuff was all right in the first place--the rest of it should go back under the bin cover from whence it came.
steve perry, btw, was kind of a looker but i think this site & its writer possess a grave singularity in anointing him the coolest looking guy of all time. especially in semi-context: go back a little further & you can find jimi hendrix & jimmy page, say. maybe the coolest looking uncool person.

You have inspired me to try to make Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" the 8th graduation song this year at my school (that I teach at, not attend).
And good call on Bobby Seger. "I smoked the night's last cigarette"? Poetry.
I do appreciate your honesty with Oates and Collins, but really? Are you sure? I mean, I like v@gin@ as much or more than Kahlua, but are you sure it's not just nostalgia pulling you in? A reminder of a simpler time, but not an actual appreciation of the music? Although I did kindof like the "Invisibile Touch video"...
