I loved "Becoming Jane." There was plenty of simmering passion in it. During author Jane Austen's era there was much reserve about overtly expressing passion (unless one were promised or wed). In Kiera Knightly's version of "Pride & Prejudice," the passion was overt and boiling hot. It was a lot fun to watch, however, even though I knew 19th century English gentry did not (in general) conduct themselves that way lest their reputations be ruined.

I feel it necessary to point out that Anne Hathaway played Jane Austen, a real person, one who was very reserved and almost reclusive. Whereas, Keira's character was a figment of Jane's imagination. As Elizabeth Bennett, Keira could do a lot more in context of the story than the real Jane could ever have done in real life. So, I think the critique that "Becoming Jane" lacks passion in comparison to "Pride & Prejudice" is based on a misinterpretation of facts. Oh yes, I like "Prada" too, very much.

I enjoyed all of the above films. I agree with Lolav that the critic's take on "Becoming Jane" was based on a cognitive mis-step. How can one compare a real person to a literary character?

hmm...
i had have watched anne hathaways movie titled ella the enchanted i really can't concidered it as worst but..
its good..though not absolutely best.. she have done well on acting.. and my little cousins love watching it every now and then... its good..
nwe, its laura from philippines..
i love her movie princess diaries the most.. she is really fascinating..
