Hollywood was similarly plush during the Great Depression. Fans want an escape from their work-a-day lives and look to people in the arts to provide them with a sense of excitement and glamour.

I respect Mr. DiCaprio. I realize he is a "have" rather than a "have not" but he is intelligent, directed and resourceful. Hope with strength through him and others, we will emerge to overcome the lean times and dire straits.
