The Wrestler(Truth Justice and Gordon Shumway - weekly column) I'm not going to lie to you, 2008 was a pretty terrible year. But, over here at "TJAGS" we're not going to focus on the bad; instead, let's focus

I haven't seen The Wrestler yet, but I've seen plenty of screen caps of Marisa Tomei as a stripper, and from those alone I can agree that this is definitely the best film of 2008, CGI nipples or not!

I did not see The Wrestler, Mad Men, Frost/Nixon, or How I Met Your Mother and I never heard of American Aquarium. Guess I missed out.

american aquarium's bible and the bottle pick is a plea from mike to get you to listen to their debut album antique heart. i say skip the bottle and go straight for the heart.

@Rob: I disagree. I think "Antique Heart" is fantastic, but I actually think "The Bible and the Bottle" is better.

I think that there are some good thoughts here. I've not seen everything on here, but plan to. Definitely like the Letterman and American Aquarium selections.

@Sinbad: Thanks. If I could go back and write this again I would probably make ita toptwelve and add "Wall-E" and the Swedish language horror film (kind of) "Let The Right One In." A movie I was pretty much dragged to, but was one of the most compelling movies I have ever seen. Plus it had vampires.

Finally! I have been telling all my family and friends about American Aquarium for a couple of years, it's nice to see them get some recognition.
Okay list overall, but was shocked to see the love for AA. How long have you been a fan?

American Aquarium rocks. I saw them play live most recently in St. Louis, the audience was tiny but their sound was tight. I recommend all of their stuff, check them out on iTunes. And Nicholas Fehn is the funniest character on television. Glad to see that Armisen is starting to gain some traction. Great list.

@Stewart172: Funny, I think people either love Fehn or hate Fehn. I wish that character had his own 30 minute variety show.

I don't watch a lot of current sitcoms but I loved That 70's Show. But I am a Mom so How I Met Your Mother really amused me.
Thank you for all your reviews. The writers who contribute to this site do an excellent job.
