I don't like that song either it's stupid, and not at all empowering when she is asking some man to put a ring on her finger. If the song really wanted to be representative of an empowered woman, it would be more like Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" which was a national anthem to women during the disco era. Beyonce is played out, her movie Cadillac Records bombed big time, she disrespected Jennifer Hudson by not extending her condolences when her family members were murdered, she stole that other song "IF I Were a Boy" from an unknown singer/songwriter. She's just to much now...I'm getting really sick of her.

At first I didn't like the song, but the video really made the song, though. I also just really like doing the dance to the song. It's kind of funny, because Beyonce thought she was getting down and everyone in America just about know how to do the dance. My little 3yr. old neice know the whole dance and do it better than her, too. CLJ, you are right about that, because Beyonce didn't send out any condolences to Jennifer Hudson. So, that do sound like jealously to me, too, and plus, why didn't she have the pretty light skin girl from the video "All my single ladies" to perform with her live instead of the two ugly chicks. I guess Beyonce wanted all the attention to be on her. Yeah, she did steal that song "If I were a boy" from an unknown artist. Well, you can't be mad at her, because she's a copy cat like her husband. They are getting filthy rich off of being copy cats, though, but only them can do their job, well, not us. But maybe her fans should stop calling people haters and look at her ways and the facts about her. Tell ya'll the truth, your idol or Goddess, who you put before God and worship her like she's him, is the one that is a hater.

I think that song is a little demanding, issuing an ultimatum that 'you got to put a ring on it'. I'll bet she told JZ the same thing which is where the song probably originated. Which leads to the conclusion that he is no doubt mussy whipped. Also, I wonder if she utilizes the same gyrations in ths sack?!?!?!?!?!

I think the world does not know everything that Beyonce does or don't do. How does anyone know if Beyonce did or did not send her condolences to Jennifer Hudson? What does it have to do with the song? At lease Beyonce is trying to succeed with her goals and dreams. I am also glad that Beyonce is with a brother and J-Z is with a sister that has a positive effect on each other and J-Z is not being demanding and controlling like alot of men are. He is letting B be B. That is a beautiful thing.

I heard this song on one of those so - called "Top - 40" stations on which one could set one's watch as to when a certain performer's song will be played (yuch!), and I am telling you, this girl has no imagination, no desire to change her lyrics or her template for her songs. God, it's the same, boring, formulaic bullcrap that she force - feeds to you. And she is a lousy singer to boot. She has that whiny, annoying screech one hears when a teacher draws her fingernails upon a blackboard.

Cadillac reords is historical, informational showing the humiliation that black entertainers had to go thru back then and even now. There are too many power hungry people out there that don't care of the negative effects they may have on people. It was a good movie. Somebody had to play Etta, Beyonce did good. If Etta's happy with her so am I.
