Bob Dylan's real name is Robert Zimmerman. The young Bob Zimmerman read poetry and was particularly fond of 'Dylan Thomas' a Welsh Romantic poet, Bob dropped the Zimmy bit and replaced it with Dylan, hey presto BOB DYLAN!
