For goodness sake! In this day and age does it really matter what sex you are, as long as you are happy. Life is too short! Leave 'em alone.

So, what's the beef? You knew it
was coming. Once they make their
minds up over something come H---
or High Water they are going to
push it for all it's worth. Protesting is useless in a lot
of cases but if it makes you look and feel better keep on doing it.

The stars do need to stay out of it. To make a law for same sex marriage is like to me slapping the creator in the face. When marriage was put together it was only for man and woman not man and man or woman and woman. It is sad for you who feel that marriage was made for same sexes. I say do what you want. Live together but, don't enforce everyone else to make it law in what is totally wrong. And please do not compare African Americans rights with this. It has nothing to do with it. You can not compare this moral issue with African American civil rights.

They need to shut up whining and be happy that no one is stopping them from living a gay life style. No one is stopping the gays from living a normal life, they do whatever they want, but yet they still aren't happy.

Gods law? If there were really a supreme being and creator of us all, why would he have different laws for his creations? I'm sure he would love us equally. Your various man made religions have you brain washed and you cannot even discern why. They are only concerned that gays will not procreate enough future suckers to support them mindlessly like you do!

The bible was thrown together by MEN hundreds of years after the death of Jesus. God had nothing to do with it. You are the one not making any sense. I am perfectly O.K with your ignorance of history. If this strange relationship you have with whatever you think it is gives you some sense of peace, it's fine with me. And Kathy - read the original 10 commandments some time if you would like a good laugh.

hello,
Mark that is so pitiful it's not even funny. Why would he give his life up for us if he didn't love us? And the Bible was written by men that were his Disciples thank you very much. I go to church and I don't think the Ten Commandments are very funny you must be a real jerk to think that. Do u even know the history of the Bible? No u don't. Kathy

I think he is the creator of this earth and he is our savior. He died for us I mean what more can he do??? Yes, this country and our lifes may go through tough times but he is always be our side and he will NEVER EVER EVER leave us. It's hard to believe because I have been through so much myself but, I have become a stronger believer. So, I think he makes bad things happen so we can know how to help those who need help and be stronger in him. Kathy

Mark can have his opinion on God or the Bible or whatever. Stop trying to push your religion off on him. God loves us? Really? Well where was he when I was born? What did I do to deserve being beaten and raped from the time I was born? He makes bad things happen to make us stronger? Are you freaking nuts? If he does, he has a sick sense of humor and I for one will not worship someone who abandoned me before I was born.

This goes a lot deeper than just being "open-minded."

1. It is about the tax you see people, gay married people like Melissa Etheridge are threatening to leave our state, because the state got used to her being "taxed" at the single rate, therefore, they stand to make a "win fall" if they keep them at the single rate, rather the "married" tax rate. The conservatives will tell you it goes "a lot deeper in values" but TRULY AS IS ANYTHING IN LIFE....IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY, PEOPLE SHOW US THE MONEY.
This bill should have never been on the ballot...this shows we have come far, in other areas, such as race, (Black President) but show little progress when it comes to "same sex marriage" and the lack of teaching "choice" to the youth.
THIS IS A TRAVESTY, FOLKS.
WE JUST GOT SLAMMED BACK DOWN, 100 YEARS...
The conservatives will tell you, "They have a CHOICE in the matter" WHILE THEY TAKE AWAY EVERYONE'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE, THIS IS HYPOCRISY AT BEST! I AM A FLAMING HETROSEXUAL AND I STILL THINK PEOPLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO LIVE AND MARRY WHO THEY WANT.

Live and let live is a human carnal motto, and therefore it is not God's. Gay people should stop trying to abolish God's law, because it is a futile effort. The god of this world is certainly on their side.

The Canadians got it right on same sex issues. Even the government, which is anti-gay, recognized this as a basic human right. As a gay man who has been happily coupled for 35 years, we decided not to marry, lawyers had already done everything to protect our rights before theissue even came up.

The supposed opposition to gay marraige fizzled when the religous right realized that it made no difference to their lives, and they shut up and backed off. Compare this to putting forward a motion to bring back slavery. If enough bigots vote for it, wow!. Grow up down there and realize that love is love, to be against any love is hatred. To hide your bigotry behind God is just sad.

I would love to argue equality and human rights with any of the bigots who are hiding behind God to put forth their own personal venom. If their beliefs are so deep, do they not appreciate that they will be judged. A life spent in hate is a sure sign they will not be getting into heaven.

I have no problem with people of the same sex being together and loving one another, I have no issues with gay/lesbian relationships.
I do though, believe,(my opinion) that MARRIAGE should be exclusively between a MAN and a
WOMAN.
It should not take away from the gay/lesbian community's human rights to be with whomever they choose to be with, and love whomever they choose to love, I just believe steadfastly, in the union of marriage, only should be between a man and a woman.

MARRIAGE is a heterosexual concept intended for uniting the two human genders not just one of the two genders together. Also for natural procreation plus a mom and a dad for kids.Oxford Dictionary of Current English informs marriage means:A union of a man and a woman by which they become husband and wife.History, naturalism, tradition and Spirituality all in form marriage is for a man and a woman exclusively.Fact is a heterosexual couple and a homosexual couple are different.!

As I have stated on my previous post.....I have not a problem with anyone loving whoever they prefer to love, whether it be a woman and a woman or whatever....it is everyone's God given right and they are entitled....but in my own personal beliefs, the sanctity of marriage is to be between a man and a woman.
