Ashely is exactly right. the media is relentless in its attacks on those it finds newsworthy. To be female and small in stature in the middle of that snake pile can be very nerve wracking. Look at what happened to Princess Diana... history has shown us that the media will hound a person literally to death. Look at what they do to the Jolie-Pitt clan who has vast amounts of bodyguards with them at all times. Ashley is just one person with no privacy that we, as regular americans take for granted. there is nowhere she can go without them in her life. At such a young age to have no ability to grow up and make the mistakes that all people do as they mature into responsible adults from their late teems to early twenties.It is heard enough to do with out the media to pick it over every move she makes and every word she says..it is a sad thing. She is just wanting what everyone else takes for granted. Space and privacy to live her life. GIVE HER A BREAK!

What the paparazzi does would be considered invasion of privacy if it was done by the average person on the street. Celebreties or just that, celebreties and have to expect a certain amount of flashbulbs but they shouldn't have to put up with being attacked and followed every step they take. Everyone deserves some privacy. It would help if they more notable celebs would stay out of the bars and stop doing things that cause the attention but still....some of these celebs act and sing becuase they love to entertain just like other people like to ride horses or fix cars, etc. So, they like to entertain the unfamous. It is there job. Some of them get paid way to much and are greedy but it is still there job.
The paparazzi should back off. They are the truly greedy ones. They do what they do for thier 15 minutes of fame and the money.

I can't say as I blame Ashley. The paparazzi are talentless hacks whose only way of making a living is to break the law. They're common criminals and have no respect for anyone's privacy. Sorry, someone being a celebrity doesn't give anyone the right to sneak into their backyards to take photos of them in the shower or bedroom, to crash their family's funerals, or to assault them on the streets. These are all crimes, and they should be treated as such. If the paparazzi had any legitimate talent, they'd be getting real stories without breaking the law, and working for the Times, the Sun, People, or any other legit newspaper or magazine. Since they have no talent, they resort to illegally getting pictures through whatever means necessary and work for trashy tabloids, where their story appears next to the one about Sarah Palin giving birth to a two-headed unicorn, and are only slightly more reliable. I say the paparazzi should be subjected to the same treatment as they give celebrities - see how they like the invasion of privacy and the constant threat to their safety.
