Simon Cowell Calls The FBI Over Leaked Tracks
Simon Cowell has stepped up efforts to track down hackers who have stolen songs from his artists and posted them online - he's called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to help.
The music mogul was left fuming last summer when tracks from Leona Lewis' latest album Echo made their way onto the internet ahead of the record's official release in November.
He called in police in Britain to help find out who was responsible - and now the "American Idol" judge, along with bosses at his Syco music company, is working with FBI agents in a bid to crack the case. The news comes after an unreleased track from Cowell's latest musical protégé, "The X Factor" winner Alexandra Burke, was leaked.
A Syco spokesman tells Britain's Metro newspaper, "Hacking and stealing of songs is a real issue for many artists. We are doing everything we can to catch those behind this."
