Falling Star: Nicki Minaj: The rapper may be the queen of hip-hop right now; but her altercations on American Idol have gotten a lot of attention in the media in recent months. Nicki Minaj has been feuding with fellow judge and singer Mariah Carey, and it was even caught on camera! In the video, Minaj snapped at Mariah and said, “"Think I'm playin? Think this s--t is a f--king joke? If you say one more disrespectful thing to me—off with your head!" Yikes. A little out of line! Everyone has had their share of confrontations, but Minaj sounded childish by saying “off with your head.” And now Minaj is taking another jab at Carey through her lyrics. On her “Hell Yeah” track, she has a few subtle indirect lines targeted at Carey- but then in one line she totally gives herself away when she actually says Idol: "I'll take it, sign on the dotted line/But I'm quick to the check a bitch if she outta line. Shout out Mike Darnell and Nigel/Why these bums so mad that the queen on Idol, huh?" So what does this mean for the singers? Well, Mariah Carey isn’t afraid to take jabs at people through her lyrics either, because she’s done it before! She wrote the song “Obsessed” to in response to offensive comments and lyrical blows Eminem made towards her. Wouldn’t be surprised if Mariah responds with some witty lyrics of her own! Two wrongs don’t make a right- but either way it seems that Nicki Minaj is dragging this one out!
