It's no secret that Kristen Stewart has shed her clothing for a couple of racy sex scenes in her upcoming film, On the Road; and now several screencaps from the film, based on beat writer Jack Kerouac's 1957 novel, have surfaced online.

Still images from two different topless scenes have spread across the web like wildfire; one showing the actress fully nude ans smoking a cigarette on a bed, the other sitting topless in the front sead of a pickup truck with her two male co-stars, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley.

Back in May, The Culture and Media Institute's Dan Gainor bashed Stewart's decision to bare her body in the upcoming film in an interview with Radar Online.

"The movie industry has a twisted affection for making raunchy films that use and abuse former child stars," he says. "In the film 'On The Road,' Kristen Stewart engages in a threesome and masturbates two male characters according to reports. How will parents who took their daughters to see the Twilight movies explain this?"

But K-Stew has called her scenes "no big deal."

During a press conference for the film on May 23; she said, ""I wanted to do it. I love pushing. I love scaring myself. I've always wanted to get as close to an experience as I could."

The 22-year-old star plays the 16-year-old wife of a writer's friend. The three learn and grow from several experiences as they travel cross-country together in the film; which is loosely based on Kerouac's own life with some fictional additions to his tale.

"I'm usually self conscious about running around town," Stewart says. "But I got to live more in those four weeks than I ever usually do in my life."

The actress reportedly only made $200,000 for her part after the studio drastically cut the budget, staying on because of her love for Kerouac's book.

As for director Walter Sallies, who cast her when she was just 17, she has nothing but praise.

"'You can do no wrong with [Salles]," she told MTV News at last month's Toronto International Film Festival. "He puts so much inside of you. In the four-week rehearsal process, it was okay to ask any question, to bring up any story, to really over-analyze everything and intellectualize everything. "Once we got on set, it was so about just breathing and letting it happen. He put so much trust in us, so it was like, "Okay, so I have to take my clothes off?" It's so not a big [deal]."
