Scarlett Johansson will combine sex, seduction, spookiness and sci-fi in new movie Under The Skin - she plays an alien femme fatale who uses her sultry charms to snare victims.
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star has landed the lead role as Isserley, an extraterrestrial sent to Earth to capture men and transport them to her planet, where inhabitants have a craving for human meat. The movie, directed by Jonathan Glazer, is expected to begin filming early next year.
A spokesman for production company Film Nation tells the Hollywood Reporter, "(Johansson plays) an alien on earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerizing woman. She scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey - her voracious sexuality... Taking her point of view throughout, the film presents a unique look at our world through alien eyes."
Film Nation boss Glen Basner adds, "We're so excited to be working on this arrestingly original movie. How could we pass up the chance to work with a visionary director like Jonathan, especially when combined with the intriguing notion of Scarlett Johansson as a ruthless alien seductress?"
