Rapper Joe Budden has been released on bail following an arrest in New York City on Thursday night.
The Pump It Up hitmaker was due to perform with his group Slaughterhouse at Manhattan's Best Buy theatre but Budden failed to show up for the concert, with reports suggesting he was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
And now the hitmaker's representative has spoken out to confirm the news, revealing Budden was reprimanded for a $75 unpaid parking ticket, dating back to 2007.
The rap star's spokesperson tells TMZ.com, "Cops showed up at a pre-concert meet-and-greet and informed Joe about a warrant out for his arrest due to an unpaid traffic ticket. The original fine was only $75... but cops still decided to arrest Joe and took him back to the station where he was booked and processed."
According to the rep, Budden "handled the matter" and he has since been released.
