Radiohead Plays 'Hush' Show At Glastonbury
Rockers Radiohead took to the stage at Britain's Glastonbury festival in front of thousands of fans on Friday after news of their secret set leaked earlier in the day.
The band hoped to thrill revelers at the event's Park Stage by performing unannounced in the "surprise guest" slot, but details of their appearance swept the festival in the afternoon after staff at NME.com reported they had received confirmation of the show.
As a result, more than 5,000 fans flooded into the area in time to see the Creep rockers take to the stage. Hundreds more were locked out of the field in front of the Park Stage after security guards were forced to close the gates to prevent overcrowding.
But one rumor proved to be false - the band was reportedly planning to play a new album in full, but they instead opted to perform songs from their recent release The King of Limbs and a handful of other tracks, including Street Spirit (Fade Out) as an encore.
