Uma Thurman was rescued by Quentin Tarantino after a storm hit their party. The actress found herself battling the weather while attending a bash for her new movie My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

While partying on the rooftop of top New York nightspot Bed, Uma was happily chatting to actress Emily Frances and Kill Bill director Tarantino when a terrifying storm hit.

A source told New York Post newspaper: "Things were flying all over the place. Everyone ran for cover, and Quentin scooped her up in his arms and carried her to safety, leaving Emily to fend for herself."

Hero Tarantino had little time to recover from the frightening episode - he flew to Austin, Texas, the next day to continue filming new movie Grind House.
