Pukkelpop Support Fund Established For Stage Collapse Victims' Families
The families of music fans killed following a stage collapse at Belgium's Pukkelpop Festival last month have been offered financial support from a fund established in the victims' memory.
Four people died and more than 70 were injured when storms brought one of the stages at the three-day event crashing down during U.S. band Smith Westerns' set on August 18.
The tragedy prompted organizers to cancel the rest of the festival activities and performances from the likes of Good Charlotte and the Foo Fighters, and now they have announced the creation of the Support Fund for the Victims of the Pukkelpop Storm to help the grieving relatives through their tough time.
In a statement, festival officials say, "The full amount of every donation, large or small, will go to the victims."
