Police Apprehend Man Who Swam Two Miles To Taylor Swift's Beachside Home
In the wee hours of Wednesday morning a man swam too close to Taylor Swift's beach home in Rhode Island, so police booked him for trespassing.
The singer's security team saw an individual in the water near her luxury home and called police.
The 22-year-old swimmer from Chicago told police he had intended to meet the pop star, 23, but decided to turn around (approximately a two-mile round trip swim) after he spotted security on her property.
According to TMZ.com, police took the man into custody and booked him for trespassing.
Swift purchased the beachfront property in Watch Hill for $17 million in April. The 11,000 square-foot estate includes a swimming pool, gym, five-car heated garage, eight fireplaces and nearly a dozen bathrooms.
Meanwhile, she made a memorable appearance on Tuesday night's episode of "New Girl."
