His name is synonymous with smooth jazz - with a staggering 50 #1 charting airplay hits, and the unique experience in 2006 of scoring a #1 Radio & Records chart hit as both an artist and producer. He is Grammy® award winning mega producer, composer/arranger and recording artist Paul Brown, and he will make his label debut on Peak Records with the release of his latest solo CD White Sand, February 27.

Peak Records president Andi Howard stated: "We welcome Paul to our family of artists. His success is truly unparalled and we are very excited about the release of White Sand."

Driven by seven powerful originals and three unique reworkings of recognizable classics, White Sand is a celebration of the great soul sounds from different eras (60's soul jazz through 70's old school and modern hip-hop), that influenced the producer/guitarist's legacy as a multi-talented creative force in contemporary jazz. It also features a host of "friends" as guest stars including Al Jarreau on "Make Me Feel So Good," Boney James on "Ol' Skoolin," Bobby Caldwell performing the seldom heard lyrics to the classic Cannonball Adderly-popularized "Mercy, Mercy Mercy," label mate David Benoit on "R 'n' B Bump," Euge Groove on "More or Les Paul" and Rick Braun on "Mr. Cool."

Brown's production career has been in overdrive for years. In addition to GRAMMY® wins as producer and engineer for Norman Brown's Just Chillin' and helming hits for such artists as Boney James, Kirk Whalum, Larry Carlton and Patti Austin, Brown—known by some as "The Babyface of Smooth Jazz' achieved a lifelong dream when he produced tracks for George Benson, his chief jazz guitar influence. Now as a star solo recording artist in his own right, his Peak Records debut White Sand, promises to reach even greater heights for a career that knows no boundaries!
