When Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles auditioned for the British edition of “The X Factor” a year and a half ago; they each dreamed of stardom but nothing could have prepared them for the whirlwind that became the multi million song selling boy band known as One Direction.  Each lad auditioned for the reality talent show as a solo artist but found themselves thrown together as a group during the competition.

The lads have made the most out of their opportunity with a number one debut album on both sides of the Atlantic.  One Direction became the first UK band to have their debut album – “Up All Night” - debut in the number one spot on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.  The platinum selling album ranks number two in the list of biggest selling albums for 2012 – number one belongs to fellow British pop star Adele with “21”.  “Up All Night” has gone on to become the number one album in 15 countries.

Less than a year after their debut album release, the Brit Award winners are set to release the as yet named second album in November.   The first single from the album – “Live While We’re Young” will be released on October 1.
