Nicole Scherzinger has cast doubt on the future of the Pussycat Dolls by insisting she is working on her solo album and doesn't know "what's going on with" the girl group.
The former burlesque troupe crumbled this year as the singers left the group one-by-one, with just Scherzinger eventually remaining. The band's creator, Robin Antin, unveiled a new line-up in May, adding four unknown dancers to the group to back the singer.
However, Scherzinger has now revealed she is uncertain whether the band will ever release any more records, as she is busy working on her long-awaited solo album, Her Name Is Nicole, which was previously shelved to make way for Pussycat Dolls projects.
She tells celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, "I've been working on a solo album... I don't know what's going on with that (the band). There are always stand-ins. There's the dolls from the lounge in Vegas... inside everyone is a Pussycat Doll!"
"I know that I haven't left the Pussycat Dolls, but I have been working on my album which I'm totally excited (about)."
