Former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has a lot going on for her these days. In addition to releasing her long overdue solo album, "Killer Love" (which still doesn't have a release date but is just around the corner), she'll be taking on a huge role in Simon Cowell's new TV talent show The X Factor as one of the show's judges.

"I definitely have the eye of the tiger," she tells Marie Claire magazine. "I've fought my way to where I am and will continue to do so. I'm a hard worker - I get it from my family. We only know work. Nothing was handed to us."

Nicole should be a perfect fit for X Factor too - she got her start by winning the former WB network's reality show Popstars with her first all-girl group, Eden's Crush, and just last year she was crowned champion of Dancing With The Stars.

But she'll have to compose herself in front of the cameras on X Factor - she was a huge Paula Abdul fan growing up and is thrilled to be working with one of her idols.

"I'm the luckiest person to get a front-row ticket to the Simon and Paula show. This whole thing has felt like a roller-coaster ride," she says.
