Nicki Minaj has urged Lil Kim to put an end to their public feud, insisting the rapper will be remembered as a "sore loser" if she refuses to embrace her hip-hop successors.
The newcomer was left heartbroken when Lil Kim blasted her in an interview and accused her of copying her style, but Minaj hopes her rap idol can save her reputation by putting aside their rivalry.
In an interview with radio station Hot 97, Minaj says, "I felt like, (Lil Kim is) going to go down in history now as a sore loser as opposed to going down in history as the queen because if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. You don't have to feel the need to put somebody down to make yourself feel better."
And Minaj is adamant Lil Kim should be grateful, as their feud has given the rap veteran a career boost.
She adds, "It's like when you see Gaga, you see (influence from) Madonna, but Madonna never hated on Gaga (sic)... You know, the same way she opened doors for me, I'm now opening doors for you (Lil Kim). Because nobody was even playing your music and you... couldn't get an interview to save your life. But now you (are) getting interviews and now every interview you do, they (are) asking you about Nicki Minaj."
"So it's like we help each other, that's the point, we're helping each other. But if you are bitter, get a life."
