Former Culture Club singer Boy George is set to release his first studio album in 18 years after spending the last decade battling addiction issues and making a name for himself as a house DJ.

The gay icon, real name George O'Dowd, has teamed up with top producers Youth and Richie Stevens and Texas guitarist Ally McErlaine for tracks on This Is What I Do.

And there's a new collaboration with fellow club sensation DJ Yoda, who worked with George in 2012 for the dance floor hit Happy.

Former 'N Sync star 'came out' as gay in 2006, but he was still hiding his sexuality from the world when he spent three months at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia in 2002.
