The film, which follows three high school seniors as they attempt to impress their pals by throwing an outrageous party, was illegally downloaded a whopping 8.7 million times, according to a new report published by TorrentFreak.com.

The news comes as a surprise to industry buffs - the found-footage project solely features unknown actors and only grossed $100 million at the international box office.

Will Smith's latest alien installment Men In Black III has been named the most error-filled movie of 2012 in a new poll.

Editors at MovieMistakes.com have compiled their annual list of the year's most blunder-riddled films and Men in Black III blasted into the top spot with 63 goofs, more than twice as many as second placed Skyfall, which has 26.
