Legendary rocker Rod Stewart once came onto a transvestite after mistaking him for a woman.

The Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? hit-maker was touring with The Faces in Australia during the 1970s, when he saw a pretty lady sitting at the bar - however he was in for a big surprise when he brought his date back to his hotel room.

He tells Howard Stern, "I'm thinking,...'Why aren't the guys trying to chat her up?' They said, 'Rod, we have left her for you.' It turned out she was a guy."

Nonetheless, Stewart didn't find out until things got hot and heavy: "There may have been a peck on the neck."

Philanthropic actor Ben Affleck has teamed up with a footwear brand to design a limited edition shoe collection in aid of his Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI) charity.

The Argo director, who founded ECI in order to help communities in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, has collaborated with TOMS shoes to create the line, made from brightly colored Congolese Textiles.

Snoop Lion has turned up the heat on Jamaican icon Bunny Wailer after the musician took aim at the rapper's conversion to Rastafarianism.

During his 2012 pilgrimage to Bob Marley's home, Snoop met The Wailers legend and filmed the visit for his Reincarnated documentary; however the reggae great has since slammed the former rapper for his "outright fraudulent use" of Rasta culture.

Scottish AC/DC Fans Launch Kickstarter Campaign For Bon Scott Statue

Fans of AC/DC have launched a $77,500 fundraiser to generate cash for a monument honoring late frontman Bon Scott in his hometown in Scotland.

Sculptor John McKenna was commissioned last year to design a statue commemorating the star, real name Ronald Scott, and devotees of the band have ramped up funding for the project in Kirriemuir.

Local community group DD8 Music has launched a campaign on fundraising website Kickstarter.com, and organizers aim to raise $77,500 for the monument.

Los Angeles police have reportedly launched an investigation over allegations Ashley Tisdale has been bombarded with more than 18,000 Twitter messages from an overzealous devotee.
