How Did Neil Patrick Harris Do Hosting The Oscars?

Neil Patrick Harris: The Best (And Worst) Moments From His First
Neil Patrick Harris hosted the Oscars for the first time on Sunday night after four successful runs as the host of the Tonys and a pair of Emmy hosting gigs.

So how did he do?

The three-plus-hour show had its share of ups and downs, with many of the ups being while Harris was off stage, and many of the downs being the tired old jokes he told. Some of them were good, but many fell flat and others were ill-timed.

Miranda Kerr
Despite a strong showing of supermodels and Hollywood A-listers it was former Victoria's Secret angel Miranda Kerr who stunned at Sunday night's Vanity Fair post-Oscars party, showing off her sexy curves in a cutout Emilio Pucci white and gold dress.

The event, the 20th annual party hosted by the magazine, was held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif.; and not only was Miranda, 31, in attendance, but ex-husband Orlando Bloom was also there.

Why Did Alejandro G. Iñárritu Deserve To Win Best Director?

2/23/2015 8:30pm EST
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu
In his second career Oscar nomination for Best Director, Alejandro G. Iñárritu took home the gold for “Birdman” (as well as two more wins, for Best Picture and Original Screenplay). Here is how he pulled it off:

1. The “One Shot” Trick
Coverage of “Birdman” has already discussed this feature to death, but it bears repeating: the entire film was shot and edited in such a way that it appeared to be one long continuous take. There actually were several cuts throughout, but most of the shots lasted about ten minutes, which is still an intensely long duration, considering that a one-minute sh...

Emma Stone
Emma Stone hit the annual Vanity Fair Oscars afterpary in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday night looking gorgeous as usual in a red Altuzarra dress with a plunging neckline.

The 26-year-old, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Birdman (she lost to Patricia Arquette), no doubt celebrated the film's big Best Picture win at the magazine's 20th annual party.

Earlier in the evening Emma arrived at the 87th Annual Academy Awards in a green Elie Saab ("it's Chartreuse," she said) gown and reportedly had a wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet. As she rubbed elb...

The 8 Biggest Snubs And Craziest Surprises Of The 2015 Oscars
2015 was not the year for Oscar drama.

There were no underdogs that came out of nowhere for the unexpected win. There were no obvious favorites that lost to a weird backwards choice (and thus, very few vegetable platters hurled at the TV in blind fury).

Instead, this year was all about "which frontrunner's gonna win it?"- categories where the winner was down to one or two (or three, sometimes) favorites, and one of those favorites inevitably took home a small, nude, gold man.

But there was still snubs and there were still surprises, and we're still going to catalogue them for you. Like w...

The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Gaga

Lady Gaga Oscars 2015
You could almost hear the world cringe when Scarlett Johansson appeared on stage at the Oscars to introduce Lady Gaga, who would be singing a four-song nmedley to mark the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music, but as soon as the eccentric pop star sang the first words to the musical's eponymous theme song, it was clear that the biggest highlight from this year's award ceremony had just begun.

Known for her outrageous fashions at these types of events, Gaga, born this way: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, dressed down for her performance, wearing a white Azzedine Alaïa ball gown, putti...

Jennifer Aniston & Emma Stone Make Headlines For Red Carpet Butt Grab

Jennifer Aniston & Emma Stone's Red Carpet Butt Hug Made The Osc
Let's face it -- Sunday night's Academy Awards show was a bit of a bore. There were definitely some highlights (Neil Patrick Harris in his underwear, Lady Gaga's "Sound Of Music" tribute, Patricia Arquette's moving speech), but not too many must-replay moments.

Then there were the red carpet moments.

First, John Travolta gave Scarlett Johansson an awkward kiss (see the photo here), and then Jennifer Aniston enthusiastically hugged pal Emma Stone, which included a butt grab.

It really isn't that big of a deal. Friends hug each other all the time. But with a show that wasn't awfully exciti...

TMI: Why Is Chrissy Teigen 'Very Proud' Of Her Oscar Underwear?

Why Is Chrissy Teigen 'Very Proud' Of Her Oscar Underwear?
The Academy Awards, like any awards show, are half about honoring those who've excelled in the arts and half about gawking at famous women wearing ridiculously expensive pieces of fabric.

Chrissy Teigen, model and wife of John Legend (who took home a statuette for the emotionally stirring "Glory") is one such woman.

But for Teigen, the night was less about the dress, and more about what was under it.

"I do have underwear on tonight. I'm very proud of myself," Teigen revealed on the red carpet yesterday. Which, for her, is a huge deal. Normally, any time you see Teigen out and about, she...

Oscars Style: Lupita Nyong'o Stuns In A Pearl Dress
Lupita Nyong'o was one of the stand-out stars at the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday night. The actress wore a beautiful white dress by Calvin Klein that was embellished with thousands of pearls.

The floor-length halter-style dress included a keyhole cutout on her chest and wrapped around her back. She looked amazing.

The actress, who won an Oscar last year for "12 Years A Slave," was named People magazine's Most Beautiful star of 2014, and her latest red carpet look proves why she's often included on best dressed lists.

The Kenyan-born star wasn't always comfortable in her own skin. She t...
