After Monday night saw Team Blake and Team Pharrell perform for America's votes, Tuesday evening was the time for Teams Adam and Christina to put their best forward in hopes of being one of the three singers from each roster to make it through the first week of live playoffs.

Tonya Boyd-Cannon, "Take Me to the Pilot" (Team Adam): We all know Adam loves his Elton John, and it's evident in how he sings this song for Tonya before turning her loose on it. She's able to bring the "church," as he calls it, out of the track with her usual big energy. Everyone winds up standing by the time she's d...

'SNL' Cast Begs Host Michael Keaton To Play Batman Again
Both Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan put the pressure on Michael Keaton to reprise his famous roles of both Batman and Beetlejuice during his opening monologue on "Saturday Night Live."

Moynihan and Killam played devoted fans of the actor, and together sang a hilarious song to try to blackmail the star into reliving his most famous characters.

After an initial refusal, the jokesters cut to scenes with them tricking him into playing the part, super-imposing a Batman outfit over his regular clothes as he read a book backstage and then doing the same with Beetlejuice clothes as he looked at ...

Michael Keaton Hosts 'SNL' For First Time In Over 20 Years - We
Michael Keaton’s innate charm was on full display during this past awards season. That was not as present in his third “SNL” hosting stint (and first in over 20 years). Instead, he reminded viewers of his dark side. While he never actually suited up as Batman or Beetlejuice during the episode, his roles did seem to be inspired by that portion of his career. The result was a surplus of oddly severe sketches, some of which were praiseworthy in their boldness, but others which were cringeworthy in their difficulty to watch.

Final Four Postgame – “SNL” was operating right down to the wire ...

'Saturday Night Live' Season 40, Episode 16 Recap: Dwayne Johnson/George Ezra

The Rock SnL
As he noted in his monologue, Dwayne Johnson is known for joining established film franchises and giving them a successful shot in the arm. Accordingly, his fourth “SNL” hosting stint heavily favored sketches that commented on the host’s reputation and familiar pop culture entities in general. Many of this season’s hosts, even the most capable ones, have been relegated to mostly utility roles. But Johnson was effectively given plenty of opportunities to shine, as he was allowed to play to his strengths, and the result was an episode that overall also played to its strengths.
