Billy Ray Cyrus Honors Slain Nevada Teacher Michael Landsberry
Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus recently paid tribute to a Nevada school teacher by the name of Michael Landsberry at his concert stop in Incline Village near Lake Tahoe. Landsberry passed away as the result of a school shooting at the hands of a 12-year-old student.

Cyrus presented Landsberry's widow Sharon with a memorial plaque and praised the fallen teacher. An ex-Marine, Landsberry tried to talk down the shooter before being shot in the chest at a middle school in the suburb of Sparks. Before taking his own life, the shooter also wounded two other classmates.

Paul McCartney is such a great guy that he helped a couple get engaged when he resumed his tour in Albany, New York, on July 5. As you may know, McCartney had been on sick leave from his tour but was well enough to get back to his fans the day following Independence Day, and he made the day special for concertgoers as well as one happy couple.

A simple act of kindness that Amy Adams performed seemingly in private is making headlines - for all the right reasons. The actress gave up her first-class plane ticket to a U.S. serviceman.

Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN's "Numbers Never Lie," witnessed the act during a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles and posted about it on Twitter this morning.
