'Hell's Kitchen': Dan Ryan After His Elimination

April 30th, 2013 12:32pm EDT
Hell's Kitchen
He was the chef everyone loved to hate - now following his dismissal from Hell's Kitchen, BFTV caught up with Dan Ryan to find out if he really was that despised, and what he'll remember about his stint on the show.

First things first: Dan informed us that the vitriol audiences noticed on screen wasn't manufactured TV drama. "What you saw was definitely that accurate," he said. "There was like a gang mentality. I feel like they [the Blue Team] have a target every time. It was Jeremy [Madden], and then it was my turn, and there'll be someone else next."

Having said that, though, there are ...

'Hell's Kitchen': Jessica Lewis After Her Elimination

April 23rd, 2013 11:45am EDT
Hell's Kitchen
Jessica Lewis was the latest chef to get axed from FOX's Hell's Kitchen - and after her elimination, the chef tournant from New York connected with BFTV to chat about her experience on the popular reality show.

"I was way quiet and should have stood up more for myself," reflected Jessica, who left after difficulties on the fish station during the dinner service in last Tuesday's episode. "I owned my mistakes, put my head down and worked - and I should have made others own their mistakes too. I am too nice to be cursing people out! It's just not me!"

Although she didn't walk away with the ...

'Hell's Kitchen': Jeremy Madden After His Elimination

April 16th, 2013 11:30am EDT
Hell's Kitchen
Another week, another elimination on Hell's Kitchen. BFTV recently connected with last week's departing chef, Jeremy Madden - who got the axe after mistakenly sending up a sample plate - to review his time on the FOX show and found out that he's different from the person you saw on TV.

"I'm not as dumb as I looked on the show, promise," Jeremy said. "I really am a capable chef and I do know what I'm doing."

In what made it to air, the 22-year-old lead cook from Los Angeles was sometimes confused and often called out by his colleagues on the men's team, but he's understandably got it more ...

Chef Gordon Ramsay Dishes On Season 11 Of 'Hell's Kitchen'

March 19th, 2013 6:30am EDT
Gordon Ramsay
Chef Gordon Ramsay is an imposing figure on FOX's Hell's Kitchen, putting chefs to the test - and putting the incompetent and arrogant in their place. But to see him on Hell's Kitchen is to know only one side of Chef Ramsay, who has four TV shows on FOX alone, more Michelin stars than most chefs can even dream of, and a much warmer personality than commercials would have you believe. BFTV recently checked in with Chef Ramsay to get the inside dish on Season 11 of Hell's Kitchen.

"I’m in love with it now," he said of starting up the competition for an eleventh cycle. "I’m in love with the r...

Once he stepped into The Taste's kitchen, "I...

Nigella Lawson Previews ABC's New Cooking Competition 'The Taste'

January 29th, 2013 10:20am EST
Nigella Lawson
ABC is moving into the cooking-competition battle with The Taste - a new series which is like The Voice for chefs. Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Top Chef's Brian Malarkey and Ludo Lefebvre act as 'mentors' to kitchens of cooks, be they professional chefs or amateurs - but they must make their decisions based on only one spoon-sized 'taste' of each dish, with the cook behind it not being revealed until after the mentors have already weighed in.

Recently, Nigella Lawson joined BFTV to talk about the appeal of The Taste, how the series works and what she's hoping to find over the course o...
