NBC Cancels 'Revolution' and 'Community,' ABC Renews Three
NBC has cancelled Revolution after two seasons. Revolution was a bubble series for a while, and its prospects just kept getting worse. There was a rumor that NBC would order an abbreviated final season, but ultimately NBC passed on the show altogether.

In other news, NBC has cancelled Community, which is surprising after most people thought it would get a final season order from NBC. Community has one of the most devoted fanbases of any TV show, and there has been talks of reviving Community on a Netflix/Hulu type basis. Now that NBC has released the show, hopefully we will hear word of of...

Fox Cancels 'Dads,' 'Enlisted' & 'Surviving Jack'

May 8th, 2014 4:00pm EDT
The FOX network has swiftly axed three of its new shows - "Dads," "Enlisted" and "Surviving Jack."

Seth MacFarlane created the multi-camera comedy "Dads," which starred Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi, Brenda Song and Vanessa Lachey. The series centered on two men in their 30s whose lives are turned upside down when their fathers move in with them. Critics and viewers slammed the program when it first aired last September.

"Suriving Jack," starring Christopher Meloni ("Law & Order: SVU") and Rachel Harris ("Suits") also failed to resonate with viewers.

"Enlisted," starring Geoff Stults, Chri...

7 Awful TV Series Finales That Caused Fan Outrage
When How I Met Your Mother ended this past week after nine seasons, reaction among fans was somewhat mixed. Some fans said that Ted and Robin belonged together, just like other long-time TV couples like Ross and Rachel or Carrie and Big. But other fans resorted to throwing a tantrum on Twitter, saying the show essentially ended right back at square one, nine years later.

Whether you loved or hate the How I Met Your Mother finale, it just proves that we can all get a little too attached to our favorite shows sometimes. When the producers pull the rug out from under viewers in a much anticip...

Saying Goodbye To 'Psych' With Maggie Lawson
Break out your Kleenex and your pineapples - tonight we say goodbye to USA's Psych. And we're doing it the best way possible. Last week BFTV connected with the show's leading lady - and one of our oldest and dearest site friends - Maggie Lawson, to talk about sending off her character Juliet O'Hara and what she's learned from eight seasons of hilarious goodness.

In today's TV landscape, it's uncommon for a show to last this long, let alone for an actor to stay with a series for its entire run. What was it like for Maggie to complete the journey from start to finish? "I feel really lucky th...

An Open Farewell To 'Killer Women'

An Open Farewell To 'Killer Women'
Dear Killer Women,

So tonight is your season finale. According to popular opinion, it's also your series finale. We're not giving up on you, but just in case we don't see you again, we wanted to let you know that we've enjoyed these last seven weeks.

Sure, you're not perfect. There are things that you could've done better. And the comparisons to Justified didn't help, especially when you were going up against that amazing show. But we think you kind of got a bum rap, being written off so early. So here's our attempt to add one last point in the other direction.

Thank you for all these th...

'Nikita' Series Finale Recap: 'Canceled'

December 29th, 2013 8:42am EST
The end is here. Nikita's series finale is upon us, appropriately titled 'Canceled.' It's a good moniker for so many reasons: because it's the last episode of the show; because within the series, that word is used to mean 'killed,' and death is a big part of this plot; and because now it's understandable why this is Nikita's swan song.

Continuing the idea of going back to the beginning that started with the last scene of 'Bubble', this episode opens with a flashback to Nikita's early days at Division, with Amanda giving her a lecture on how "brute force will never be as effective as decept...

4 Things We Learned From 4 Seasons Of 'Nikita'

December 27th, 2013 2:01pm EST
Tonight, The CW's Nikita will sign off for good, and that makes us a little sad. Having covered this series from beginning to end, we've gotten to see it go from 'remake we're not so sure about' to 'that sleeper show more people should be watching.' And we've learned a few things, too. Here are our four takeaways from the four seasons of Nikita - feel free to leave yours in the comments as we prepare to say goodbye.

1) Remakes don't always have to be mistakes: Granted, there have been many which were short-lived or outright bad (see: NBC's Knight Rider and Bionic Woman, ABC's Charlie's Ang...

Katie Couric's syndicated talk show will come to an end after just two seasons, ABC announced on Thursday.

The show will still film through June 2014, when current broadcast contracts will expire and the show can wrap.

The decision to discontinue production on the show was mutual agreement between Katie and ABC.

"While production will continue on “Katie” through June 2014, we’ve mutually agreed that there will not be a third season of the show," a joint statement released by Couric and the network reads. "We’re very proud of everyone’s contributions to making Katie the #1 new syndicated ...

Alec Baldwin's 'Up Late' Cancelled

November 26th, 2013 8:03pm EST
Alec Baldwin
MSNBC and Alec Baldwin are parting ways two weeks after it was announced his show Up Late was suspended.

MSNBC suspended the talk show following the release of a video clip featuring Baldwin apparently calling a photographer a "c--k sucking f-g." Baldwin claims he called the photographer a "fathead" and suggested he did not know the term "c--k sucking" was offensive to gays.

Baldwin tweeted following the release of the video, "Acoustic analysis proves the word is fathead. Anti-gay slurs are wrong. They not only offend, but threaten hard fought tolerance of LGBT rights."

He posted later, ...

No Happy Endings For Jennifer Love Hewitt As Lifetime Cancels 'The Client List'

November 2nd, 2013 12:10am EDT
The Client List
There will be no happy ending for Jennifer Love Hewitt's Lifetime series The Client List.

Producers of the series announced the show's cancellation on Friday after two seasons, choosing to end the series because of low ratings and a delay of a potential third season over creative differences with Hewitt. reported in June that Lifetime and Sony Pictures Television were at a stand-still during negotiations with Hewitt, after the actress pushed for her pregnancy and co-star Brian Hallisay -- her fiance in real life -- to be written into the show's storyline.

Hewitt, an executiv...
