'Downton Abbey' Ending After Season Six
The upcoming sixth season of "Downton Abbey" will be its last. Executive producer Gareth Neame said in a statement on Thursday: "Millions of people around the world have followed the journey of the Crawley family and those who serve them for the last five years. Inevitably there comes a time when all shows should end and 'Downton' is no exception.

"We wanted to close the doors of ‘Downton Abbey’ when it felt right and natural for the storylines to come together and when the show was still being enjoyed so much by its fans. We can promise a final season full of all the usual drama and intri...

Orange is the new Black
Orange is the New Black fans were freaking out last night after a website claimed the Emmy-nominated Netflix series was cancelled. However, not everything was as it seemed.

Satirical website Empire News generated a fake comment from Netflix founder Reed Hastings: "We regret to inform Netflix members that Orange is the New Black has been permanently cancelled. Also, starting September 1st, 2014, past episodes will no longer be available for streaming on Netflix."

The "joke" arrived later in the story when they came up with this gem of a "quote" from Hastings: "A woman’s place is in the hom...

FOX Cancels Ambitious Series Before Its First Episode
It's became a running joke that FOX doesn't give TV shows a chance to prove their worth (Tru Calling, Family Guy, The Tick, Futurama, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Arrested Development, Firefly), but the network may have topped itself when it canceled an expensive series before airing even one episode.

Hieroglyph was going to be FOX's attempt into the serial drama scene dominated by HBO's Game of Thrones. It was a gamble to be sure; FOX can't exactly show the same content as HBO can thanks to censors. Still, it had a young and talented team behind it with Pacific Rim screenwrite...

7 Canceled TV Shows We Wish Netflix Would Bring Back
Arrested Development's successful return for a fourth season on Netflix was lauded as a just reward for a show that was often viewed as a critical success but just didn't have the viewers to show for it. Arrested Development's success on Netflix started a new era of original programming for the company that has since given us other hits like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.

With Netflix's status as a home for quality original shows still on the rise, we thought it might be fun to take a look at back at some of our favorite canceled shows that, like Arrested Development, were pe...

The show was set at a local junior college and featured a host of quirky characters, including a disbarred lawyer and Christian single mother. Creator Dan Harmon thanked his colleagues and fans for being part of the show.

Twitter isn't big enough to hold my condolences and more importantly my gratitude to the best fans, cast and crew in TV history. Excelsior.
