'Son Of God' Is The First Of Many Bible-Based Films In 2014

Actress Roma Downey and her producer husband Mark Burnett have taken the success of their 2013 History Channel miniseries "The Bible" and spun off a feature film focusing on the life of Jesus Christ with Son of God, which opens in theaters today.

The couple produced the film, which stars Diogo Morgado reprising the role of Jesus from the miniseries, and are expecting it to reach millions of viewers just like their miniseries, which over 100 million people watched.

"I feel that each step of the way, we've just heard a whisper in our hearts," Downey told Carole Mikita of Utah's KSL.com.

The movie franchise made its official debut on the photo-sharing website on Tuesday, kicking things off with a Darth Vader selfie. The Sith Lord snapped himself standing amidst the carnage in the hallway of the rebel cruiser that he captured in the very first scene of the first "Star Wars" film in 1977.

'Jurassic World' To Hit Theaters During Blockbuster Summer Of 2015

The fourth installment in the Jurassic Park saga officially has a title and a release date.

Newly-titled Jurassic World was slated to begin filming in June for a planned June 2014 release, but an announcement from Universal Pictures in May said that the project had to be put on hold in order to give director Colin Trevorrow more time to prepare after Steven Spielberg, who was originally going to direct, backed out.
