The superhero flick, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Vin Diesel, earned $17.6 million, for a grand total of $251.9 million. It debuted in theaters on Aug. 1 and dropped a slot after "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" took the top slot for two weeks in a row.

However, this weekend TMNT dropped to second place with $16.8 million, while Chloe Grace Moretz's drama "If I Stay" debuted with $16....

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Michael Bay's live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has topped the weekend box office, earning a strong $65 million and earning Bay a sequel.

Paramount Pictures announced on Sunday that a second Ninja Turtles movie is already in the works and will hit theaters in June 2016. Bay will stay on to produce again, while screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec will return for the second story in series.

There's no word whether director Jonathan Liebsman will direct the sequel or whether stars Will Arnett and Megan Fox will return for part two (we assume Fox will return considering...

'Sex Tape' May Have Bombed Due To Its Title
Not many people thought "Sex Tape" was very sexy. The romantic comedy made just $15 million at the box office this weekend, and movie executives believe the title was to blame.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sony distribution chief Rory Bruer explained: "We made a sweet, funny romantic comedy with stars that we love, but the title is a little confusing to some folks. There's definitely a sweetness to it, and we hope we end up being around for a long while. We also have a strong opportunity overseas."

The movie centers on Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz), who after 10 years...

Tammy, one of the few movies to open for the July 4th weekend, dropped to third with $12.9 million. 22 Jump Street and How to Train Your Dragon 2 rounded out the top 5.

The only other films opening this weekend were Bollywood romantic comedy Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and independent flick Boyhood....

'Transformers: Age Of Extinction' Tops Box Office, Has Strong Opening In China

Transformers: Age of Extinction
Not surprisingly, Transformers: Age of Extinction has topped the weekend box office as the biggest film of 2014 (so far).

"Age of Extinction" pulled in a massive $100 million according to estimates, and is the first film to top the nine-digit mark this year.

The film topped the last installment in the series, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, by a mere $2 million, proving that the switch from Shia Labeouf to Mark Wahlberg as the film's lead had no effect on moviegoers.

The film pulled in nearly half of its opening weekend gross on Friday night, selling out shows across the country to rake ...

Comedy "22 Jump Street" smashed the competition at the box office, surprisingly beating animated film "How To Train Your Dragon 2." "Jump Street," which was expected to make a $50 million debut, took in $60 million in ticket sales.

In the film, officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) go deep undercover at a local college, meet new friends, and begin to question their friendship.

Starpulse critic Evan Crean said of the film: "Their partnership is definitely bromantic, but is also entertaining because it feels like a real romantic relationship. When they tensely talk about ...
