BetGeorge built and lit the gia...

Obama
President Obama has spoken out about Sony's decision to pull "The Interview" from release, saying that the company did the wrong thing by canceling the film's planned Thursday night premiere (Dec. 18) and then deciding to shelve the film indefinitely in light of last month's hack of the movie studio's network by cyberterrorist group the Guardians of Peace.

During a news conference on Friday, the President said, "I wish they had spoken to me first. I would have told them do not get into a pattern in which you're intimidated by these kinds of criminal attacks."

The Interview
Now that Sony Pictures has given in to the demands of the "Guardians of Peace" and canceled the release of Seth Rogen/James Franco comedy "The Interview," the cyberterrorist group has threatened the company once again, this time demanding that Sony basically destroy everything related to the film.

A new message from the group warns that more private emails and other sensitive materials obtained in their hack of nearly 40 terabytes of data from the company will be made public if Sony doesn't comply. That means no Blu-ray/DVD release, pulling all the trailers for the film from sites like You...

Forgotten Friday Flick - 'A Clockwork Orange'
We’re keeping in tune with awards season, but with a slight twist this week. With Sony’s unfortunate move pulling the new comedy "The Interview" from theatrical release due to hacker threats it felt like time to take a stand. So controversy is the pick of the day…welcome to Forgotten Friday Flick. The selection this week is a film certainly no stranger to harsh criticism. It was a daring blend of visceral violence, lush visuals, captivating performances and the use of classical music in ways no one had ever seen before. Most of you know this one, but after the sad state of events this ...

Seth Rogen Hires Special Forces Bodyguard After Threats From Nor
This whole "The Interview" thing went from harmless comedy to World War Three in like a week's time.

Here's the latest in our coming armed global conflict over a mediocre Seth Rogen comedy: Rogen has apparently hired a bodyguard in the wake of potential threats from North Korean terrorists.

On Wednesday, Rogen was spotted in LAX alongside a beefy bearded fellow who Perez Hilton reports is ex-special forces. He's also "highly skilled," which is probably the case with most who are ex-special forces.

Terrorist groups linked to North Korea have already made major threats on Sony and the Un...

Backstreet Boys
The new documentary about The Backstreet Boys poses the question, "What do you do when you’re a full-grown man in a boy band?"

"From 1999 to about 2002, we were the biggest band in the world," said Brian Littrell in the new trailer for the documentary.

It was originally conceived as a way to record the band’s reunion, but soon turned into a story about the band's success as part of the Lou Pearlman-helmed boy band craze.

"Lou had seen the success of Boyz II Men, New Kids on the Block, and he was like, 'Well, I can do this. I can put together a group,'" BSB member A.J. McLean says in the...

JK Rowling Reveals That Yes, There Is A Jewish Wizard At Hogwart
Here's two words you probably don't hear strung together too often: "Wizard Jews." Although if you do hear those words in sequence on a regular basis, you probably live cooler lives than we do.

But the non-awesome general public got a dose of Jewish wizardry when J.K. Rowling was answering fan questions on Twitter. One fan, Benjamin Roffman, asked the renowned "Harry Potter" about Jewish representation in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

@jk_rowling my wife said there are no Jews at Hogwarts. I’m a Jew so I assume she said it to be the only magical 1 in the family. Though...
