3. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

There are few franchises as storied, loved, and well respected as Metal Gear. From the numerous accolades this series has earned to appearing on numerous best games of all time lists, this is one of those series that is as critically successfully as it is commercially. Set nearly 5 years after events that took place in Metal Gear Solid 2, Solid Snake is deployed in the Middle East to kill Liquid Ocelot, who operates the mother company of Outer Haven. Some of the new features in the game include Octocamo, a new type of camouflage that mimics Snake's surroundings, a robotic drone entitled Metal Gear MK that Snake can use to communicate with others, and a psych meter that will replace the stamina meter from previous games. Snake has aged and a happy ending is necessarily guaranteed, especially considering this is the last game of this incredible franchise. After a few delays, this game is finally, finally coming out this year, sometime in the second quarter.
