While a quest for de-virginization is hardly groundbreaking material, the banality of "Superbad's" bonerrific plot-line is offset by its bona fide display of teenage awkwardness in all its glory. Supercharged with highly entertaining performances by Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, and of course, Christopher Mintz-Plasse playing the unforgettable McLovin, "Superbad" rises a cut above other virginity busting, gross-out humor flicks and even manages to strike some genuinely poignant moments.
