Just because it is a Pixar film doesn't mean it cannot fall in a category outside of children's films. Science fiction and space can be both cute and relevant.

Even if you are not a fan of Firefly, you can appreciate this film and its attempt to work with such a wide range of genres (comedy, sci-fi, drama, horror, western, action, romance, etc.) It also has one of the best beta male character deaths to date.

"Stargate" was such a cult success that it grew into a ten season long TV show, "Stargate SG-1" and is still trucking on with direct-to-DVD films, as well as its own spin-off, "Stargate Atlantis" and soon to be "Stargate Universe." Kurt Russell as Jack O'Neil is fine and all, but Richard Dean Anderson as the TV series' Jack O'Neill is even better.
