Allison and Ariel share a gift ... and a curse. More and more the eldest of the Dubois daughters displays growing psychic gifts just like her mother. She sees ghosts and has visions in her dreams, but it's very lucky that she has Allison there to see her through it. Ariel is headstrong and sometimes on the bratty side, but she is also a responsible older sister and loving - if hard headed - daughter. Just recently Allison realized Ariel was terrified of the ghosts she was seeing, and although she has embraced her gifts, she knew a teenager could hardly do the same. She agreed to help Ariel get medication to stop the visions, at least until she was ready. This is something Allison never had, so Ariel is very lucky to have a mother who understands acutely what she is going through. It probably doesn't seem as lucky when Ariel can never throw a successful surprise Mother's Day party for her!
