A movie itself infected by the 2007 outbreak of productions filmed on handheld cameras, this Spanish horror flick documents just what happens when authorities quarantine an apartment building that's been exposed to a nasty demonic zombie virus. With caution out the window, the survivors attempt an escape, knowing that their freedom may mean spreading the virus to the rest of the world. The claustrophobia, the paranoia, and the hysteria of those locked inside may unsettle viewers already concerned with the current swine flu situation, so [Rec] may not be best choice for those reading this behind a surgical mask.

Worse than Pig Flu?: It's a bit worse than Pig Flu, yes. Fortunately, Spanish authorities managed to contain the virus to a single incident-unless it got out somehow, which, let's face it, it probably did.
