Ed Begley, Jr. - This power character actor deserves applause for walking the walk, rather than just talking the talk: he's been an avid environmentalist for nearly four decades, having owned electric cars, championed recycling campaigns, and committed himself to a vegan diet. He has an eco-friendly line of household cleaners called Begley's Best and his house is nearly completely self-sustaining, using solar power and wind power to keep his electric bill at $300 per month. Two years ago, he and buddy Bill Nye (the Science Guy) started a rivalry to see who could sustain the smallest carbon footprint; the stakes are still being raised to this day. That's one contest we hope never has a winner.
