Bruce & Brandon Lee - Like the Kennedys, rumors of a Lee curse have circulated for years. Admittedly, the deaths of the martial artist/actor/cultural icon and his son Brandon- 20 years apart - were both under strange circumstances. A healthy lifestyle advocate and physical fitness buff, Enter the Dragon star Bruce Lee (nee Lee Jun Fan) complained of a headache on July 20, 1973. A friend gave him a painkiller and Lee went to lie down; the sleeping dragon never rose again. Baffled by the sudden death of the healthy 32 year-old, doctors tentatively determined that Lee had suffered brain swelling (cerebral edema) due to a hypersensitivity to the painkiller he took. The official cause of his death was "death by misadventure"; unofficially, rumors of foul play run rampant to this day. The curse theory was bolstered two decades later on March 31, 1993 when 28 year-old up-and-coming actor Brandon Lee, was killed during filming of The Crow in North Carolina. A series of mistakes on set resulted in a gun - with the force of blanks powering one bullet accidentally left in the chamber - to fire, hit Lee in the abdomen and lodge in his spine. Despite many hours in surgery, Brandon died on the table. Be it curse or bitter irony: In Seattle's Lakeview Cemetery, lie father and son side by side, both cut down in their prime.
