Tom Cruise totally redeemed himself from all the craziness he let out in the past few years: the couch-jumping over Katie Holmes; telling off Matt Lauer about the history of phychology; and, oh yeah, the whole scientology thing. How did he redeem himself? Two words: Tropic Thunder. If you didn't see it, do. Philip Seymour Hoffman, who starred with Cruise in Magnolia, was recently nominated for an Academy Award for his role in Doubt. To quote Alan Arkin's (last year's Best Supporting Actor Oscar recipient for Little Miss Sunshine) introduction of Hoffman at this year's Oscars, a better name for him is "See More Philip Hoffman", because he's just simply put, a great actor.
