Our hope is that on January 1st, Pete Wentz and his lovely wife Ashlee will log onto courtinfo.ca.gov, download the forms for an official name change and spare poor little Bronx Mowgli from the recess razzing he'll face in his not-so-distant future. Babies don't recognize their names until they're about 5 months, you two; there's still time!

Anne Hathaway might also want to consider her legal options next year and beyond. After this year's split with her jailbird lover Raffaello Follieri, she should resolve henceforth to do background checks on all potential boyfriends!

Britney Spears' resolution shouldn't be hard to achieve: "Avoid starting 2009 like I started 2008… In a psychiatric facility and dating Adnan Ghalib." Brit, tread carefully: Yes, you're on the comeback trail with a hit single, new album and international tour but we all know that your progress, like your mental stability, is shaky at best.
